Over the past few years, my passion for Atlantic puffins has taken me on an adventure that has spanned the length of the British Isles. From the idyllic Pembrokeshire coastline to the rugged cliffs of Shetland, each colony has its own unique charm and character. As far from the bustle of city life as you can get, the feeling of solitude on a remote clifftop at sunset is transcendent like no other experience. The hypnotic beat as birds hurry back and forth, dancing through the air, clears the mind and puts life’s troubles into perspective.
Among the many species I have worked with, puffins have always been the ones that have given me the greatest joy. The images captured in this collection are a celebration of my time spent with the puffins and all appear in my book Puffins: Life on the Atlantic Edge.
